Sheikh Sharif Must Resign:

June 26, 2009 - (QOL) Never in the history of Somalia , had a Somali leader repeated the same mistakes done by his predecessor. Sheikh Sharif repeated the same mistake done by his former opponent the congenital lair Abdullahi Yusuf who looked assistance from Tigrian militia. Sheikh Sharif fell into the trap which many of his opponents were waiting him to fall and he did it after he requested help from the neighboring countries ( Kenya and Ethiopia ). Nobody expected that Sheikh Sharif will ever request help from the Tigrein militia because of past experience. Many Somali people expected at least, he may request military assistance from Muslim courtiers or the United Nation but not from the brutal Tigreian dictator Meles Zenawi. Sheikh Sharif now completely lost the confidence of the Somali people after this request and he must resign.

Sheikh Sharif knew that The Tigrain militia spent two years in Somalia and failed to stabilize Somalia . Therefore, it is shameful act on the part of Sheikh Sharif to ask now the same Tigrean militia to come and help him rule Somalia . The Tigrena militia killed many innocent Somali people, looted their properties, displaced hundred of thousand of people from their homes and destroyed their properties. Sheikh is not looking to help the Somali but wants to remain in power until the end of his term. To call the Tigrian at this stage of the game shows that he is in his last days of power. 

Sheikh Sharif should have known early that he has lost the confidence of the Somali people after he could not negotiate a settlement with old friends of the struggle. All of his opponents are his old colleges because they could not trust him. During the negotiation of the withdrawal of the Tigrein militia and subsequently the negotiation of the creation of the national Somali government, both the people who were near to him and a lot who were against him described him as man of many faces, weak and not reliable. After taking reign, he immediately in circled with the most corrupted individual of previous governments instead of the religious colleges who fought on beside him during the struggle.

Many of his friends and foes are all in agreement and openly stating that he is not in charge of the Somali government. In addition, many Somalis now belief that that Sheikh Sharif is not the driving force of all the political changes that are going in Somalia .

He is merely taking orders both the representatives UN and the Western Countries.

His in ability to clearly state his future agenda in early days of government proved that his could not comprehend and also underestimated the huge problem facing the Somali people.  His absence from the country during the critical time and travelling outside countries with no tangible results gave ammunition to his formidable opponent forces to attach him. Also, since he moved to Villa Somalia , he remained in seclusion and merely meets with interest groups, tribal chiefs and lobbyist instead of going out of the villa and talking and seeing the ordinary Somali people. 

In conclusion “May Almighty save Somali People from this calamity and show the right path for prosperity, peace and tranquility. May Allah provide the Somali people good leaders who will rule Somalia according the Islamic Law? Also, respect dignity and rights of the individual as well as collectively, free speech and free press, and respect the rule of law.
