Mogadishu | Marh 28, 2023 – The Government forces backed by the organised local residents have started second phase of intensified operations against Alshabab in many areas of Hiran Region.
Officials from the Macawisley forces and the authorities of the Mahaas district in Hiran region had a meeting with the villages under the Mahaas district.
Some of the army officers of Macawisley who spoke to the media denied that an agreement was reached between Al-Shabaab and their community, and they are now ready for the second phase of the operation to liberate more areas and remove Al-Shabaab out of the country.
The Chairman of Mahaas Muumin Mohamed Halane, who spoke at the meeting, mentioned that they are planning to end Al-Shabaab menace in the east of Hiran region and will move to Galgaduud region.
This organisation and plans for the second phase of operations come at a time when President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has recently gone to liberated Aden Yabal District to assess the District and other nearby areas where the Federal Government Forces are located assisted by the local people known as Mawiisleyda and the President announced the start of the second phase of operations against AS.
