MOGADISHU — Abdiaziz Mohamed, grieving father of Luul, a mother of five who tragically lost her life last week due to injuries sustained when her husband burnt her in a house and locked her in , has made a poignant plea for justice. He expressed his gratitude towards Somali security agencies for swiftly apprehending the perpetrator responsible for his daughter’s death and called for accountability for the heinous act.
Mohamed emphasized the importance of justice for his daughter and the unborn child she carried, whose lives were unjustly taken. In a heartfelt statement, he revealed that he has refrained from burying his daughter, opting instead to keep her body in a refrigerator until the time when she can be laid to rest alongside the man who ended her life.
Sheikh Abdiaziz extended his appreciation to the leaders of the federal government, including President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, for their decisive action in apprehending the accused, Sayid Ali Moalin Daoud, who had been evading capture for several days.
“I haven’t buried my daughter because I want her to be laid alongside the man who has taken her life,” expressed Abdiaziz, underscoring his desire for justice to prevail and prevent similar tragedies in the future.
