Somalia’s Cabinet Appoints New Director for National Security and Intelligence Agency

Mogadishu, Somalia – The Council of Ministers of the Federal Republic of Somalia has confirmed the appointment of Mr. Abdallahi Mohamed Ali, also known as Sanbaloolshe, as the new Director of the National Security and Intelligence Agency (NISA).

The decision came during the council’s regular meeting, following a proposal put forth by the Ministry of Internal Security.

Mr. Abdallahi Mohamed Ali is no stranger to the realm of national security, boasting a wealth of knowledge and experience in intelligence operations. His illustrious career has seen him serve in various high-profile roles, including Minister, Member of Parliament, Ambassador, and now, for the third time, the Director of NISA.


The council also took the opportunity to express its gratitude to the outgoing director, Mr. Mahad Mohamed Salad, acknowledging his dedicated service and contributions to the nation during his tenure.


This leadership transition marks a new chapter for NISA as it continues to safeguard the nation’s security under the guidance of its newly appointed director.
